Back in February, we hosted a YAC Leader Training Day at the beautiful Brighton Pavilion. The focus of our leader training was The Silk Roads inspired by a demand from older YAC members- who had asked for more World Archaeology sessions during the YAC Impact Study
YAC or Young Archaeologists' Club is a UK-wide club run by the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) where 8–16 year olds can participate in real archaeology and discover why it matters. As well as co-creators of Archaeodiscovery we also volunteer as Brighton YAC leaders!
We developed a whole new resource, packed with interesting activities, including games, crafts and baking; all based on the incredibly varied archaeology of The Silk Road. This resource pack is now available to download for free from the YAC website, here. Whilst your visiting the YAC website why not check out the rest of their wonderful collection of resources? Or if you interested see if there is a YAC club to join near you?
We hope you find the resource useful and that YAC members love learning about The Silk Road!
